Job Title: Team Leader – Orange Door, Inner East

Hours: Full time hours (38 hours per week)

Description: As an EDVOS Team Leader within The Orange Door, you will have experience in people management and provide day-to-day coordination, duty allocation, case consultation and supervision to a team of practitioners responding to incoming referrals. Your role will focus on referrals for victim-survivors of family violence, in the context of the Orange Door’s Integrated Practice Framework. Given the multi-disciplinary nature of the Orange Door, your role will include some direction and supervision to practitioners outside of your specialisation, when appropriate and necessary.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A committed specialist family violence practitioner with experience working with highly sensitive and complex family violence cases
  • Experienced in managing, supporting and developing multi-disciplinary practitioners to work effectively with victim survivors including children, and perpetrators
  • Passionate about service reform, integrated service delivery and improving outcomes for women, children and families
  • A team player, with strong experience managing stakeholder relationships and working in partnership

Job Title: Practitioner – Orange Door, Inner East

Hours: Full and Part Time Positions Available

Description: As an EDVOS team member within The Orange Door, the practitioner will provide screening, assessment, triage and short-term responses to all incoming referrals for victim-survivors through the Integrated Practice Framework. The Practitioner will work in close partnership with practitioners from other agencies in the Orange Door, to increase the safety of women and children experiencing family violence through direct service provision.

Closing Date: This is a rolling recruitment until the 31st May and interviews will occur periodically until then.

Volunteer with us

Volunteers significantly help EDVOS to deliver much-needed services. If you or someone you know has spare time, why not consider volunteering?

We welcome help with a range of tasks including database maintenance, data entry, reception and general administration. Or, you could help to organise our enormous stock of donated toys! There’s also an opportunity to help out with our client intake processes.

All roles will be well-supervised and volunteers will receive appropriate training. If you share our values and believe in the right of women and children to live free of violence, we encourage you to contact us.

Volunteering is a rewarding way to connect with the local community and your help will provide invaluable support to women and children in need.

Become a member

We welcome women that live, work or study in the eastern metropolitan region to become an EDVOS member. Active participation contributes directly EDVOS’ work for women and children in the eastern metropolitan region.

Membership entitles women to participate in General Meetings and nominate for positions on the Board.

The Membership elects a Board of Governance at the Annual General Meeting. The Board governs EDVOS and appoints the Chief Executive Officer.

Membership is renewed annually. A copy of the EDVOS Constitution is available upon request/membership.
