As an EDVOS Specialist Family Advocate you will work collaboratively and holistically with adult victim survivors, their children, pets and animals and young people to provide: risk assessment and safety planning; emotional support; needs assessment and case planning; systems navigation; advocacy; psychoeducation and referrals while ensuring accurate and timely case noting and data entry into the client management system.

The Team Leader – Education and Training is responsible for the operational management, support and leadership of the Education and Training Team. Part of this role will involve reviewing and implementing systems to ensure workflow and training demands are responded to in the most efficient and cohesive manner. In collaboration with the Program Manager of Primary Prevention and Education, the Team Leader- Education and Training will explore funding and partnership opportunities to effectively develop and implement existing and new training packages in the eastern region and beyond.

This position will have a particular focus in the development and implementation of early intervention training; however will also contribute to the coordination and promotion of primary prevention training in partnership with EDVOS’ Primary Prevention Team.

About this opportunity:

As an EDVOS team member the Specialist Family Violence Practitioner will provide screening, triage, risk and needs assessment, planning and crisis support to all incoming referrals for victim-survivors. Located at the Inner East Orange Door (Box Hill and Monash Local Government Area) OR the Outer East Orange Door (Croydon, Yarra Ranges and Knox Local Government Areas).

These positions will work in close partnership with practitioners from other agencies and within an Integrated Practice Framework within the Orange Door, to increase the safety of women and children experiencing family violence through direct service provision.

Some travel may be required within the Inner Eastern or Outer Eastern Melbourne regions.

Salary for these positions will be aligned with SCHADS Level 5 + super.

EDVOS is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Trainer to join our Education & Training Team on a casual basis. 

You will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of training modules (3Rs and MARAM) and achieving organisational training goals. You will support all community members to increase their understanding and knowledge of family violence and promote awareness through the delivery of comprehensive training both face-to-face and online.

EDVOS Trainers are required to travel locally and regionally to deliver sessions.
