Job Title:
Specialist Family Violence Advocate – Case Management

Employment Type: 
2 x fixed term (12 months) – Inner East region
2 x fixed term (12 months) – Outer East Region

Hours: Full Time (38 Hours per week)

COB Monday 5th March 2018

Description:
As a Specialist Family Advocate you will address gender and power issues underlying domestic violence on both personal and social levels including accountability of perpetrators, provide high quality risk assessment and safety planning with women and children and ensure client case notes/records and data collection. In partnership with the woman you will identify, assess, develop and implement effective interventions and referrals for them and where relevant their families. This
position will also be required to participate on a regular basis in the after hours ECARS Program roster from 11.54am to 8pm.

Job Title:
Specialist Family Violence Advocate – Elder Abuse

Employment Type: 
Fixed term contract until 30th June 2019

Hours: Full Time (38 Hours per week)

Closing date:
COB Monday 5th March 2018

Description:
This position will specifically focus on providing risk assessment and safety planning to older women experiencing family violence.

Working in partnership with the woman you will identify, assess, develop and implement effective interventions and referrals for them and where relevant their families, you will ensure the provision of quality case planning and exit planning and that client case notes/records and data collection requirements are met.

This position will also be required to participate on a regular basis in the after hours ECARS Program roster from 11.54am to 8pm.

Volunteer with us

Volunteers significantly help EDVOS to deliver much-needed services. If you or someone you know has spare time, why not consider volunteering?

We welcome help with a range of tasks including database maintenance, data entry, reception and general administration. Or, you could help to organise our enormous stock of donated toys! There’s also an opportunity to help out with our client intake processes.

All roles will be well-supervised and volunteers will receive appropriate training. If you share our values and believe in the right of women and children to live free of violence, we encourage you to contact us.

Become a member

We welcome women that live, work or study in the eastern metropolitan region to become an EDVOS member. Active participation contributes directly EDVOS’ work for women and children in the eastern metropolitan region.

Membership entitles women to participate in General Meetings and nominate for positions on the Board.

The Membership elects a Board of Governance at the Annual General Meeting. The Board governs EDVOS and appoints the Chief Executive Officer.

Membership is renewed annually. A copy of the EDVOS Constitution is available upon request/membership.

EDVOS is the specialist family violence service in Melbourne's Eastern Region.

We provide a broad range of integrated services to support women and children who are responding to family violence.

We prioritise the safety of women and children as a fundamental human right whilst working to ensure perpetrators are held accountable for using violence.
